Steffy then assisted him to his office and insisted that they call the ambulance but Rick tells her the he was alright and that he didn’t need any medical attention. Brooke and Ridge rushed to Rick office. Rick accused Ridge of trying to kill him. Ridge remained calm and said that Rick planned the whole thing.  The cops, who was questioning Marcus the, arrived to find both Ridge and Rick arguing. Brooke told them do use whatever resources that they need to protect his son and find out who did all this.

Pammy, Thorne, Marcus and Donna talked about the incident. When Marcus said that he had an alibi when Rick’s car exploded, Pammy said not necessarily as the bomb could be set on time. Thorned ask her, who said anything about a bomb?

Moments later Steffy and Ridge is in his office. She wants Rick to know that her father could never have done this and that anyone including Thorne and Owen could have done it.  Rick told her that he had asked Ridge for her hand in marriage. Steffy said she does not want to lose Rick. Steffy wants him to get a bodyguard in the meantime.

Ridge told Brooke that Rick asked if he could marry Steffy. Brooke thinks that Rick really loved Steffy but Ridge said he was probably doing damage control after knowing that Ridge knew about them sleeping together. Brooke confessed that Ridge that Rick told her about it earlier and Ridge asked her why she did not tell him about it. Brooke insist that the two of them are in love and that she is worried about her son. Ridge relented saying that he understand the pain that Brooke is going through and he supports her.

Rick called Lt Baker after he found a note in his drawer while looking for his PDA. The note said ” THE END IS NEAR”

Rick entered to his office to find Pam there and when he asked her what she was doing there, Pam told him that Stephanie said she was and that she’s now making crochet purses. Rick then asked her to fetch something from his car saying that she was working there after all.

In the meantime, Brooke and Rick is in Rick’s office discussing the same thing. Brooke insist that Ridge must never find out and Rick insist that he don’t care and that he and Steffy are adults and can live their lives the way they wanted. Brooke is upset that Rick wants to push Ridge and any boundaries that may be there.  She tells Rick that if Ridge find out about the affair ..and before Brooke can finish the sentence, Rick says “Bring it on!”. Brooke told Rick that if he loves both Steffy and her, then he should stay away from both Ridge and Steffy.

Brooke walked into Ridge’s office to find Taylor alone that that Ridge had left. Taylor asked Brooke if Rick told her and Brooke realised that she had told Ridge. Brooke is clearly worried as Taylor did not know where Ridge went and asked Taylor to keep Ridge in his office if he comes back while she get Rick to leave the building. Taylor told her to ask Rick to stay out of Steffy’s life.

Owen went to Eric’s office to find Thorne there. Thorne asked him if he was on his way out and Owen said yes and that he was just there to give Eric a thank you card. Thorne said that Rick really burned Owen and he apologised for that and that if Owen ever needed a letter of recommendation to not hesitate to ask him for it. Steffy came in as they were talking badly about Rick. She’s appauled that the two of them were bonding over their hatred for Rick and maintains that Rick is a sweet guy who has done lots for the company. She told them that she and Rick were together. Owen tells her to watch her back and Thorne tells her that if Ricks wants to feel secure than FC is not the place.

Investigations is being carried and Marcus is one of the suspects. The cops while questioning him found matches at his office that he says were for  birthday parties to light up candles. Donna is upset and told Marcus not to say another word while she calls their lawyer.

Rick calls Ridge and asked him to meet him at the Sky Lounge. Ridge arrived at the Sky Lounge first and was on the phone with someone discussing Rick’s car. When Jake and Madison come up as well, he asked them to leave and give him some privacy. Rick arrived moments later and said to Ridge that he didn’t come to fight  but to talk instead. He told Ridge that he is not using Steffy, that he loves her, the same way she loves him. He told Ridge that Ridge cannot control the situation. Ridge told him to shut up! Jake came back to the Sky Lounge as he has left some paperwork there and find the two of them arguing and leave quietly.

Rick explains that he is really in love with Steffy and that he wants a life with Steffy and asked for Steffy’s hand in marriage . He said that they could have eloped but instead Rick wanted to do it the respectful way and end whatever hostility they have between them. Ridge said they are gonna end it and that Rick would stay away from Steffy. Ridge says he knows what Rick did last night and that he realised that Rick was throwing a curveball but he realised that this is just another con for Rick. He said the would never give them his blessing that it’s over! Rick insist that it’s not and decided to leave. Ridge asked him to leave the moment at that instant and he agreed to let Ridge cooled off.

In the meantime, Jack rushed to Brooke to tell her about Rick and Ridge at the Sky Lounge.

Brooke caught up with Rigde at the Sky Lounge and asked him where Rick was. Ridge looked into the direction of Rick who was heading to his car. Steffy ran into Rick and asked him what happened. He explained a bit and told her he had to leave. As Ridge, Brooke and Steffy looked on, they see Rick’s car explode!

My Take:

Since when did Owen and Thorne became friends? Was it not Thorne who framed Owen and Donna? Ridge was really insistent that Rick left the building immediately. Why?

Rick came to the office to attend a meetin at the office that Brooke set up to let everyone know that Lt Baker is investigating the fire at the Rick’s beach house. As he suspects it arson, he will be coming to the office to conduct interviews to find if there are any suspects.

Ridge intercepted and said that he’s more interested in talking about business and said that since Brooke, at the last press conference, have told the press that their latest collection will be out soon, all of them have to put in 110% to meet the deadline. Rick then said he has made some decision as president himself and that is to fire both Pam and Owen as the Surf Line really kick off. In fact they have to cut down prices to clear the merchandise off the shelves.

Steffy told Taylor about the fire incident that Taylor was mad that Steffy was alone with Rick at the house. She asked if they slept together and when Steffy admitted to it, she wonders what it would do to Ridge if he finds out. Steffy told her mother that there Ridge might already know and that is why Rick thinks that Ridge might have started the fire. Taylor insisted that she would let Ridge know.

Back at the office, Stephanie was talking to the cops and she told them that their investigations might very well lead them to the victim himself.

Donna approached Brooke and said that she feels Rick was out of line firing Owen. Brooke told her that the police thinks it’s a crime of passion and that Marcus might be a suspect. Donna is furious. She suggest that Rick should leave the country for his own safety but Brooke disagree.

Stephanie was in the office with Ridge telling him how Rick is more important to Brooke when Brooke herself walks in and asked her to leave. Ridge told Brooke about Stephanie’s theory that Rick might have set the fire himself but Brooke finds that ridiculous and instead ask him to forgive Rick again. Ridge can’t believe she asked him that again but Brooke say if Steffy and Rick wants to be together, they would no even if Rick was not working at FC. Ridge say he would protect Steffy from Rick and if he finds out Rick has violated Steffy…he couldn’t stand it. Ridge then gets a call from Taylor who wanted to talk to him about Steffy and Rick.

Pam was upset when she got fired and Stephanie consoled her by saying that they will get another line going with her crocheting. Donna overhead and said Pam got to leave but Stephanie said Pam is not going anywhere!

The cops questioned Marcus who insisted that he had nothing to do with the fire. Donna came and defended her son.

Back at the office, Stephanie found Thorne asleep at Rick’s office with a bottle of drink. She asked him to wake up and that it was already morning and said that she did not blame him for the drinking. Just then Donna came in while talking to Eric, who was in Paris. After hanging up, she told Stephanie and Thorne about the beach house incident. Both Stephanie and Thorne asked, at the same time, “did he die?”. They were later joined by Marcus and Owen who wanted to know if the police had found anything and if Rick survived. They all had this strange look on their face.

The scene was then back at Brooke’s home where both Ridge and Rick was at each other’s throat. Both insisted the other leave while Brooke is at the middle. Rick wanted Ridge to admit that he wanted to kill him while Ridge said someone beat him to it. Ridge said that if he really torched the house would he be stupid enough to say he actually rode out on his motorcycle there last night? He then said he was going to work and told Brooke that he wants Rick out of the house when he returns. Rick then tries to convince his mom that Ridge really is out to get him and wants her to realise it before it’s too late.

Alone with his mom, Donna, Marcus reveals that he still has feelings for Steffy and that he is mad at Rick for taking her away from him. He also says that Rick deserves whatever his getting now. Donna wants Marcus to stop talking like that for fear that he’s gonna end up being a suspect in the fire incident.

Ridge met up with Thorne and Stephanie at the office and when Thorne left, Ridge told Stephanie that Rick thought he started the fire. Stephanie wanted to bet 50 bucks that Rick actually started the fire himself!

Also alone with him mom, Rick again tries to convince Brooke that it was indeed Ridge that wanted him dead. He confided that something signifant happened between him and Steffy last night. Suddenly, Steffy was heard calling out Rick’s name and when when Brooke saw the kisses and concern that Steffy had for Rick, she concluded that they made love last night. Brooke is angry that the two of them had gone on to the next level when in fact she wanted them to end it. Both Rick and Steffy insist that they are grown up and that they should be able to lead their life as they see fit. Brooke asked Steffy if she knows that this would ruin her relationship with her father. She said she does not want that but she is no longer a little girl and it is time for him to let go. Steffy wants Brooke to talk to Ridge again but Brooke refused and asked them to end the relationship once and for all. Rick then told Steffy that her father was actually at the beach house and he suspects that Ridge saw them together, waited for her to leave then set the fire.

Lt Baker who’s at the beach house doing investigation called Brooke and told her that it was a premedidated and that whoever did it had wanted to send Rick a message. Brooke wanted him to let her know should anything else come to light. When Rick asked Brooke whether he told Lt Baker about Ridge joy ride, Steffy told him that her father would never do something like that.

My take:

I agree with Stephanie.. Rick is so sly he may very well have set the fire himself!

The show started with some cuddling by Steffy and Rick after their love making session. Steffy saying that she had waited a long time for this kind of love and said that noone is going to make her walk away from the relationship.

After she left, Brooke who awoke that night to Ridge missing from bed and their home, called Rick to let him know. Prior to that Ridge, all deck out in biking attire, called Taylor to find out

if Steffy was home. Taylor told him that she’s not and she is waiting up for Steffy.

Steffy arrived home, all happy about the night with Rick, called him once again to let Rick know that she loves him.

Someone arrived at the beach house where Rick is staying wearing gloves and all, grab the charcoal lighter and started to pour it all over the front door. This person then light a match and drop it on the welcome mat. Rick, who was still awake heard the smoke detector goes off and ran out to investigate, got the fire extinguisher ready and opened the door. He managed to put out the fire within minutes.  When the fire brigade arrived, they found the empty container of fuel and suspected arson. They advise Rick to watch his back.

In the meantime, back at office, Pam just arrived for the night shift, Marcus just came back from dinner break and Thorne came back from his drinking session. Thorne said he was going to Rick office stating something about Rick is at  home and then corrected himself by saying “maybe” when both Pam and Marcus both looked at him. There’s talk of burned and flames at the office.

Ridge arrived home to a worried Brooke who asked him where he’s been and why is the gasoline smell on him. He said he must have spilled some on himself when he refilled his bike. Moments later Rick came storming into her home demanding to see Ridge and telling Brooke about the fire. He accuses Ridge. Brooke looks like she put two and two together but did not say anything and told Rick to get that idea out of his head. She told Rick to stay over at the house.

My take:

I have a feeling it’s Thorne. He looked so guilty and how did he know Rick was gonna be home in that statement of his?

Eric is confronted by Thorne, Marcus and Pam at the office. Thorne insisted that the Presidency should have gone to him after Brooke decided that Rick should go. Eric put his foot down and demanded that everyone respect Rick as the President of Forrester Creations and said that he’s “tired of all the whining”  and stormed out of the office .

Donna followed him and said that there was some truth to the arguments as she had to talk Marcus down and not confront Rick.  She then proceeded to let Eric know that the bigger problem is “Pammy” (duh - this woman is so dense, her husband got enough problems to attend to and she now just added another one?). She said that she would never be able to forget what Pam did to her and Eric and when Eric dimishes her and told her that he could not fire Pammy because she is Stephanie’s family, she had this weird look on her face.

Ridge told Brooke that he feels she was encouraging Steffy and Rick’s relationship when she approach and suggested to  Steffy to quit FC. He stressed that he doesn’t want to lose his daughter or her, and Brooke insists he won’t. Ridge has never been more worried about that and insisted that Rick needs to stay away from him and from his daughter.

Ridge and Brooke lie in bed and Ridge thinks about Steffy and the possibility of losing her. He says, “My sweet precious Steffy. I’ve got to protect you no matter what it takes.”

My Take:

Donna is self centered only thinking about herself.  Steffy needs to wise up and know the difference between love and lust. I just hate manipulative Rick!

I also found a group of blogger friends who love the show as much as I do and it was always fun discussing the show’s character and plot. So that is why I decided to start this blog. It’s a place that we all can hang out and yak and yak about the show.
